“You act.
That’s when I know how it ends.
Not because I’m faster. Not because I guessed right. You just showed me everything that matters the moment you committed to it.
Where your strike will land. Where your balance fails. What you can’t change anymore.
You’re still in the middle of it.
I’m already past it.
That’s the difference.
You think we’re trading blows.
I’m just following through on something you already decided.”

A Chrono Sentinel operates on a simple advantage: they recognize commitment before it resolves.
They do not accelerate themselves or reshape time broadly. Instead, they make precise adjustments at the point a moment becomes fixed. Once an opponent commits to an action—movement, attack, or repositioning—the outcome of that choice becomes visible, and subtly alterable.
They act within that gap.
Where others respond to what is happening, the Chrono Sentinel responds to what is about to finish happening—and makes small corrections to it. This allows them to position ahead of attacks, exploit openings before they are apparent, and strike from angles their opponents have already exposed without realizing it.
Their movements often appear inconsistent to observers. Attacks miss by small margins. Counters arrive from positions that seem recently vacated. This is not speed or illusion, but timing applied with precision, with the moment itself shifting just enough to favor them.
A Chrono Sentinel does not control the flow of combat.
They resolve it early.
